Mr. Solomonov is an associate in Brown Rudnick’s Structured Finance group and is resident in the New York office. He represents clients in a wide variety of general corporate and financial matters, including the domestic and off-shore securitization of various types of financial assets, company formation, secured and unsecured lending, credit facility formation and structuring of leasing agreements.
Mr. Solomonov has represented financial institutions and equity investors in public and private issuances of asset-backed securities, such as securities backed by aircraft equipment and leases, contract receivables and energy equipment. He also has significant experience representing sponsors, issuers, underwriters, servicers and other capital market participants in public offerings and private placements of mortgage pass-through and debt securities, involving various types of structures and credit support, and has assisted sellers, purchasers and servicers in connection with whole loan mortgage transactions. Mr. Solomonov has worked on numerous domestic and international project financings for US, European, Latin American and Asian clients in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, electricity, telecommunications and others.
Additionally, as part of the firm's Structured Resolution Group, he helps to analyze the issues surrounding the sub-prime market collapse in an effort to help clients identify and execute on arbitrage and repackaging strategies.
Mr. Solomonov is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian, with a basic knowledge of Spanish. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, he was an associate in the New York office of Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP and, prior to that, Coudert Brothers LLP.
