Gene Brookhart joined The Outdoor Channel in April 2004 as Vice President of Operations. He has more than 23 years of experience in the media industry, most recently as General Manager of the Los Angeles Wiltel Communications-VYVX fiber and satellite facility. During his 10 years with Wiltel-VYVX, Mr. Brookhart was responsible for domestic and international satellite and fiber distribution of news and sports programming for major broadcasters including; Fox, Warner Brothers, NBC, AFRTS, CBS, ABC, as well as The Outdoor Channel. Previously, he served as Director of Affiliate Sales for the nationally distributed JCPenney Shopping Channel, a television commercial copywriter and producer for an NBC-TV affiliate, a Manager over the distribution of international and satellite news and sports programming for IDB Communications - now known as Globecast, a news reporter and announcer for CBS and PBS radio stations, a Manager of a multi-track audio recording studio, and as an on-air radio announcer. Mr. Brookhard attended Minot State University.
