Ernie practices substantially in the areas of financial institutions law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. He has personally been involved in the purchase and sale of over fifty financial institutions and the merger and acquisition of businesses in a broad range of industries. Ernie is a regular speaker to numerous technology companies and business associations, on such matters as directors’ and officers’ liability, acquisitions and mergers, and bank compliance and regulatory enforcement actions at the state and federal levels. Ernie has participated in task forces to revise the enforcement sections of the Colorado Banking Code and to examine the feasibility of the use of limited liability companies for commercial banks in the state of Colorado.
Ernie was an attorney with the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service for three years prior to entering private practice. |
