American Shared's founder, Dr. Bates has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since the company's incorporation. He is currently Emeritus Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Johns Hopkins University and a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Rochester, the Board of Overseers of the University of California at San Francisco School of Nursing, and the Museum of African Diaspora. He is also a member of the State of California Commission for Jobs and Economic Growth, the Board of Directors of Salzburg Seminar, the Board of Directors of the Center for Accelerating Medical Solutions-Milken Institute, and the Brookings Institution. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Copia and its Capital Campaign Chairman. Dr. Bates is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. |
