Erik C. Baptist is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Trial Department.
Erik served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and for the Honorable Eric T. Washington, District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
While in law school, Erik was a member of The George Washington International Law Review. During his third year of law school, Erik was a Dean's Fellow, teaching legal research and writing in the school's Legal Research and Writing Program.
In 2003, Erik wrote an article for the International Trade Commission's 337 Reporter entitled "All in Good Time: An Analysis of the Commission's Efforts to Combat the Importation of Infringing Software Through Electronic Transmissions." Erik also published three articles for Insight Magazine while he was working as a research associate at the magazine in 2001.
Erik is admitted to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia.
