Experienced in all aspects of equity funding Erik is responsible for identifying and partnering with entrepreneurial companies focused on Information Technology. In addition Erik works closely with Safeguard’s existing partner companies providing operational and strategic support along with market analysis and industry insight. Erik joins Safeguard from WWC Capital Group LLC an investment banking and private equity firm where he was a Partner in the firm’s private equity fund. Previously he was a Principal at Aurora Funds Inc. a venture capital firm focused on information technology and life sciences companies. Erik also previously served as Business Development Manager at RISCmanagement Inc. a network systems and Internet infrastructure solutions provider. He was also employed as a Business Development Manager by Hummingbird Communications Inc. a Canadian-based software company developing network connectivity and business intelligence software. Erik began his career with Beame & Whiteside Software Inc. a networking software company as Product Line Manager. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Lake Forest College and his Master of Business Administration from the Carroll Graduate School of Management Boston College.
