Mr. Leopold brings nearly 20 years of varied experience in the medical device industry to his current position at NovoStent. Eric joined NovoStent as VP of R&D to be one of the company's first five employees, and is now leveraging his R&D expertise to now lead the firm's Operations efforts. Eric has a record of success leading production and R&D teams in both large companies, such as Guidant, and early-stage start-ups, including ProGraft (acquired by W.L. Gore) and Micrus Endovascular. He holds numerous patents in coronary and peripheral applications and is currently completing his MBA at University of California, Berkeley. Eric also holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa and an M.S. in Materials Engineering from San Jose State University. |
