Eric Hines is a certified public accountant in the Boston office of StoneTurn Group with over seven years of experience performing forensic investigations and financial consulting engagements. He began his career auditing public and private companies in a variety of industries. Prior to joining StoneTurn, he provided forensic and dispute consulting services at a Big 4 accounting firm. Eric has been involved in a variety of matters involving the interpretation and application of GAAP and GAAS, advising clients on SEC issues and the investigation of various acts of fraud. He has extensive experience performing forensic accounting investigations and restatements related to revenue recognition, stock option backdating, promotional allowances, procurement fraud, reserve manipulation, and various other types of financial statement manipulation. Eric also has a wide range of experience providing support to counsel in complex litigation matters focusing on securities law and accounting/audit malpractice. His litigation experience includes pre-trial consulting, attending depositions as counsel s financial and accounting advisor, strategy consulting, and preparation of expert reports. Eric s industry experience includes telecommunications, software, energy, manufacturing, consumer business and healthcare. He is also a part-time instructor of post-graduate courses in forensic accounting and fraud examination at Northeastern University in Boston. |
