Dr. Eric Goodman serves a consultant to Noel-Levitz from his position as Chief Academic Officer at Westwood College. An administrator, professor, writer, and presenter, he has significant experience in issues of organizational culture, quality of work life, accreditation, online learning, and customer service. Previously, Dr. Goodman served as the Dean for the Graduate School of Management at Kaplan University, where he was involved with the establishment of the Graduate School and led the accreditation efforts for several graduate programs. He created an innovative co-branded MBA program with Newsweek magazine and quickly grew the MBA program to be among the largest in North America. In just over 18 months, based on continual improvements to the program, retention improved over 12%. Prior to Kaplan University, he served as the Dean of Management at Colorado Technical University (CTU). In that capacity, Dr. Goodman worked directly with the president and other leaders on enhancing campus customer service, operational effectiveness, and various strategic initiatives. He chaired a multi-campus retention committee, leading numerous efforts in enrollment management, quality service, advising, and articulation agreements with community colleges. Given his expertise in guiding organizational change, the efforts resulted in a 23% increase in retention during one year. His work in numerous accreditation requests, launching CTU’s online programs and developing six new academic degree programs led to an increase in revenue for the university. Dr. Goodman has served as a professor of management at Colorado Technical University, and taught at Fort Hays State University (KS) and the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has worked with a variety of colleges and universities, both public and private as well as various state online consortiums.
Associations and education: A prolific writer, Dr. Goodman has published widely on issues in the healthcare profession and on the effects of organizational culture. He serves as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Organization Development and Change Division of the Academy of Management, among other organizations.
Dr. Goodman received his doctorate in organizational development and behavior from the University of Colorado at Boulder. |
