Mr. Burris is a Shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Albuquerque office and chair of the Albuquerque Litigation Group. Mr. Burris has nearly 20 years of experience in civil litigation, primarily as defense counsel in matters that include employment and labor issues, breach of contract, complex torts, products liability and other commercial disputes. Mr. Burris’ extensive litigation experience comprises a variety of case types, including complex personal injury, mass tort and products liability. He has litigated cases involving liability for design and manufacture of products ranging from motor vehicles and agricultural chemicals to pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Mr. Burris works with telecommunications matters includes contract disputes, right-of way issues, boundary determinations, easements and leasehold interests. He has litigated cases involving employment practices and availability of employee benefits. He is experienced in matters of insurance coverage, antitrust and other class-action suits, and healthcare. In the real estate realm, he has worked cases involving construction, development and general real estate concerns. Mr. Burris also handles civil appeals in both state and federal courts. In addition, he has served as defense counsel for many high profile clients, including Qwest Corporation, Philip Morris USA, Public Service Company of New Mexico and Ardent Health. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Burris was a shareholder and vice president with Keleher & McLeod in Albuquerque. |
