Eric A. Simonson Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer Allstate Insurance Company
Eric A. Simonson is senior vice president and chief investment officer of Allstate Insurance Company and a member of the Allstate senior management team. Simonson is also president, Allstate Investments, LLC.
Simonson is responsible for the company's $125 billion investment portfolio.
Simonson joined Allstate on July 29, 2002. He was previously senior vice president and chief investment strategist of John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Prior to joining John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company in 1996, Simonson joined Prudential Insurance Company of America in 1975 and held a variety of investment management positions including president and chief executive officer of Prudential Asset Management Group, where he headed all institutional investment business for Prudential. He was then appointed president and chief executive officer of Prudential's Private Asset Management Group, where he assumed responsibility for a $70 billion portfolio in proprietary and institutional client investments in domestic and international private asset classes.
Simonson has lectured at the Darden School, University of Virginia and was an advisor for the Masters Degree Program in Investment Management for the Graduate School of Business at Boston University. He also served as a Corporate Advisor to Samsung Life Insurance Co., Ltd.
Simonson received an A.B. degree from Princeton University. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1973. In 1975 he earned a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University. |
