Emma is a consulting actuary with the London office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2006 from Ernst & Young LLP.
Experience
Emma has worked in London, New York, and Zurich providing consultancy services to a range of multi-national clients across Europe and the US. Over the past several years, Emma has advised and worked on assignments covering International Financial Reporting Standards, Solvency II, embedded value, risk and capital management control process frameworks, group actuarial reporting processes, mergers and acquisitions and actuarial audit responsibilities.
More recently, she has applied her prior experience in reinsurance pricing to undertake market entry analyses for a major global reinsurer and investment bank on the acquisition of closed blocks, securitisation opportunities, longevity risk and life annuity transfers, and corporate pension buy-outs.
Presentations and publications
Emma has spoken at a number of actuarial meetings, including international events on the impact of IFRS and risk capital management in the US, Europe, and Australia. She has also co-authored a number of papers and articles on the subject IFRS, fair value reporting, and the valuation of guarantees and options.
