Ellis Lesemann focuses his practice on the litigation of disputes involving business, construction, real property and employment issues. He has experience in all stages of litigation, including jury trials and appeals. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Lesemann also counsels clients regarding all aspects of commercial and construction contracts and employment relationships.
Mr. Lesemann's experience includes:
Business litigation involving closely held companies and partnerships, corporate dissolutions, creditors' rights, breach of contract, franchise/dealer agreements, conversions, breach of fiduciary duty, recovery of assets, derivative actions and software development disputes
Property disputes and litigation, including all forms of landlord/tenant actions, title disputes, commission disputes, partition actions, negligence action, enforcement of property rights, specific performance cases, as well as zoning and administrative matters involving state, county and municipal governments
Construction litigation involving claims of delay, defective work, liens and defective design
Litigation and administrative proceedings relating to employment discrimination, trade secrets, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, harassment, non-competition agreements, employee privacy, breach of the employee duty of loyalty and all other claims relating to the employment relationship
Preparation and enforcement of all forms of contracts, with specific concentration on vendor agreements, covenants not to compete, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements and other means of protecting business assets
Mr. Lesemann is proficient in German and represents a number of European-based companies in his practice. Prior to attending law school, he worked for Honeywell AG in Frankfurt, Germany and studied at the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft in Cologne, Germany.
