Ellen Radow Sadat practices in the areas of air, hazardous substance and water regulation at both the New Jersey and federal levels. She currently serves on NJDEP's Air Industrial Advisory Group and its Special Task Force on Clean Air Act Operating Permits. She lectures frequently on air and cleanup issues and is the editor of the firm's New Jersey Air News.
Ellen previously served as an attorney for the U.S. EPA Air and Superfund Branches and held various positions in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection before entering private practice in 1987. While she was at the NJDEP, Ellen was a primary author of New Jersey's NJPDES Regulations.
Ellen is frequently called upon by Fortune 500 chemical and pharmaceutical companies and others to provide compliance and environmental transactional advice, to represent them in administrative permitting and enforcement matters, and to negotiate with the agencies on their behalf. She represents companies participating in NJDEP's pilot facility-wide permit program. In addition, Ellen represents companies subject to hazardous substance cleanups at the state and federal levels and in related private party disputes, as well as helping and managing ISRA requirements.
Civic Board Memberships. Ellen is a member of the New Jersey Committee of the Regional Plan Association. She was a board member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mercer County and is a member, as well as a former vice president, of the Exchange Club of Greater Princeton.
Professional Memberships. Ellen is the former vice chair of the Central New Jersey Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association, a member of the Water Environment Federation, New Jersey Business and Industry Association, Chemistry Council of New Jersey, Association of Environmental Authorities, and is active in the Environmental and Natural Resource Sections of the American and New Jersey State Bar Associations. She was legislatively appointed to the Small Business Assistance Program established under the Clean Air Act.
In General. Ellen is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars. She served as adjunct professor of environmental law at Farleigh Dickinson University, 1978-1982. |
