Elizabeth B. Herrington is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Chicago office. She is a member of the Trial Department.
Elizabeth’s practice is concentrated in complex commercial lawsuits in both state and federal courts. She has represented many U.S. and international companies in significant commercial lawsuits, primarily involving fraud, trade secret theft, contract claims, defective products, and tax issues. Elizabeth has extensive experience in a wide variety of commercial actions in the Circuit Court of Cook County, as well as appeals before the Illinois State Appellate Court. She has tried numerous state court bench and jury trials. Elizabeth also has significant federal court experience concentrated in the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit. In addition to her state and federal court practice, she has represented several clients in actions brought under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Elizabeth is admitted to practice in Illinois, Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of Illinois (general and trial bar), the Eastern District of Missouri, and the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
