Current responsibility
Eddy is a principal and pension consultant in the defined contribution practice of the Portland, Ore., office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1990. Eddy leads and manages the defined contribution practice, including acquisition, retention, and client satisfaction in all services delivered from the Portland office.
Experience
Eddy began working in the administration of defined contribution plans in 1985. His areas of expertise include 401(k), profit sharing, ESOP, and money purchase pension plans. Eddy assists clients with plan design, plan implementation, and ongoing administration of retirement programs. His consulting experience also includes compliance testing, government form filing, and data and investment analysis. Eddy is a resource for problem resolution for both clients and employees.
Eddy is directly involved in setting the direction of Milliman’s defined contribution services. He is a member of the firm’s defined contribution marketing and clients’ experience focus groups. He is also a member of the editorial committee of the firm’s Benefits Perspectives, a publication of current issues in employee benefits. He has also implemented client satisfaction programs and facilitated several client co-development sessions to ensure proper alignment of resources with client expectations in the Portland office.
Other specific experiences include recruiting and training employees as needed, reviewing and preparing profit sharing allocations with age-weighted and cross-tested plan designs, drafting plan documents and SPDs, and helping keep clients abreast of new regulations.
