Lopez is responsible for overseeing the company's legal affairs including corporate governance and compliance securities laws and intellectual property matters strategic partnerships litigation as well as licensing and mergers and acquisitions activity.
Lopez joins Silicon Image from the law firm of Morrison & Foerster where he advised public and private emerging growth medical device and technology companies in a wide variety of substantive areas with an emphasis on board and corporate governance matters securities regulatory and disclosure matters financings and strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions purchases and sales of assets licensing joint ventures and distribution arrangements. Prior to rejoining Morrison & Foerster in 2005 Lopez was general counsel and senior vice president human resources at Terayon Communication Systems a publicly-held manufacturer of broadband access equipment. During his tenure at Terayon Lopez also served as acting chief financial officer with additional responsibility for finance corporate marketing investor relations and the IT organization. Lopez also held senior management and general counsel positions at ReSound Corporation and Nellcor Puritan Bennett Inc. two publicly-held medical device companies. Previously Lopez was with the law firms Morrison & Foerster and McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen. Lopez earned his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and a J.D. from the Harvard Law School. |
