Dr. Aten founded Certus International in 1995. In the years since the company's inception, Dr. Aten has established a full service Contract Research Organization dedicated to the principles of quality, commitment, and innovation. Dr. Aten completed his premedical training at Stanford University and received his M.D. from the University of Chicago Medical School. His residency training is in internal medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr. Aten began his professional career as the Associate Director of Clinical Research with Beecham Laboratories in Bristol, Tennessee. As Vice President for Medical and Regulatory Affairs with Mallinckrodt, Inc., he developed and managed successful national and international clinical programs. He orchestrated key clinical strategies that set the stage for worldwide approval of several significant imaging agents. Dr. Aten also worked as the Vice President of Clinical Research at Diatide Inc., a start-up biotech company. In these positions, Dr. Aten has attained valuable experience, which has provided the foundation for Certus' ability to design and manage successful clinical campaigns, resulting in time and cost efficient product approvals. |
