Mr. Vokoun has extensive experience handling Workers’ Compensation matters in the automotive, auto plants, construction, education, manufacturing, medical/health care, mining, and transportation and public utilities sectors. His case experience includes amputations, assaults, violent acts, back injuries, body system injuries, bruises and contusions, carpal tunnel syndrome, chemical burns, contact with objects and equipment, cumulative trauma, cuts and lacerations, falls, fatalities, fires and explosions, fractures, harmful substances or environments, head injuries, heart attacks, heat burns, infectious diseases, lower and upper extremity injuries, multiple traumatic injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, neck injuries, paraplegia/quadriplegia, permanent disability, poisoning, pulmonary disorders, respiratory conditions, skin diseases and disorders, sprains, strains, breaks, tears, tendonitis, transportation incidents, insurance coverage, longshore claims and Federal Black Lung.
Mr. Vokoun frequently speaks on various Workers’ Compensation topics for the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Committee; Illinois State Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Committee; American Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Committee (past chairman) and Appellate Practice; International Association of Defense Counsel, Workers’ Compensation Committee; Defense Research Institute, Workers’ Compensation Committee; and a charter member of the Missouri Association of Defense Counsel.
