Edward Muller was formerly CEO of the Halcon/SD Group, and joined Metabolix in 1993 as Chairman and CEO. He currently serves as Chairman and served as President and CEO until January 2000. At Halcon, Mr. Muller was employed in a number of functions, both technical and financial, and ultimately served as CEO of the Halcon/SD Group. Halcon developed several key processes used in the production of raw materials for the polyester, nylon, polystyrene, and polyurethane industries. Mr. Muller held various positions in technology evaluation, financing and venture planning. He has also served as a Director and played important roles in planning for other ventures such as Optelec and OCA. He received a B.Ch.E. from The Cooper Union in 1959, and a M.B.A. (finance and economics) from New York University in 1968. |
