Edward M. Kress concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate law, including all phases of securities law, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and reorganizations. Mr. Kress serves as General Counsel, a Director and Secretary to a NYSE listed company. He has worked extensively in all phases of real estate law. He has developed a subspecialty in business/finance issues including public and private equity and debt financings, venture capital financings and real estate syndications. Mr. Kress graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in 1971, and received his J.D., cum laude, from the Ohio State University in 1974. Mr. Kress has been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the Woodward/ White publication of the same name, from 1991 to the present. He has been named among the "Who's Who in Law" in The Dayton Business Journal. He has also been named an "Ohio Super Lawyer" in Law & Politics Magazine and Cincinnati Magazine.Mr. Kress is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association. He is a Director and General Counsel for Rex Stores Corporation (NYSE). He is also a member of the Executive Committee and Director of Beth Jacob Synagogue and a member of the Foundation Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton. |
