Ted Trainor began at Standex in 1984 and rose steadily through the ranks to become Chairman and CEO. After joining Standex as Vice President and General Manager of its National Metal Industries division, Ted was named President of the Institutional Products Group in 1987. He became Vice President of the Company in 1992, President and Chief Operating Officer in 1994 and Chief Executive Officer in 1995. Ted was elected to Standex's Board of Directors in 1994 and was elected Chairman in 2001. During his tenure as CEO, Ted completed both the largest acquisition and the largest divestiture in the Company's history.
Ted began his career as an engineer at Eastman Kodak Company and then became a Group Vice President with C.H. Stuart, a privately owned conglomerate. At C.H. Stuart, he was responsible for all manufacturing and distribution operations.
Ted received a B.S. in Engineering from Boston University and an M.S. in Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Ted is a member of the Board of Trustees at Dean College in Franklin, MA and on the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at Boston University. He is a Director of OmegaFlex, a NASDAQ-listed company (OFLX), and Mestek Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed company (MCC). |
