Edward Fiorentino is executive vice president, TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc., a joint venture between Abbott and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited and senior vice president, Abbott. Previously, Fiorentino served as senior vice president, Diabetes Care, heading up Abbott's global diabetes care business. He was appointed to his current role in January 2007.
Fiorentino joined Abbott in June of 1986 as a product manager in the Pharmaceutical Products Division. He held management positions of increasing responsibility in Abbott's pharmaceutical business including vice president, Commercial Operations. In August 2003, he was named vice president and president, MediSense, the former diabetes monitoring business of Abbott. He also served as vice president and president, Diabetes Care following Abbott's acquisition of TheraSense in April of 2004.
Before joining Abbott, Fiorentino was with Bristol-Myers.
Fiorentino is a member of the board of directors of TAP Pharmaceutical Products, Inc. and of iBIO.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business from State University of New York and a master's degree in business administration from Syracuse University in New York. |
