Ed Adkins advises employers with respect to all facets of employee benefits and executive compensation. His experience covers tax-qualified pension, profit-sharing, ESOPs and stock bonus plans; tax-sheltered annuities; workers’ compensation; group insurance and other welfare benefit plans; and non-qualified executive compensation arrangements, including stock options, restrictive stock and supplemental executive retirement plans. Mr. Adkins’ clients range from large multi-national corporations with thousands of employees to small professional practices in all industries, as well as major hospitals, tax-exempt organizations and several local governments. Among other achievements, Mr. Adkins has successfully represented several employers before the Internal Revenue Service and obtained the re-qualification of their retirement plans through the IRS Voluntary Compliance Resolution Program, including the correction of allocation errors in a manufacturing company’s 401(k) plan covering more than 10,000 participants.
