Edward H. Bersoff, Ph.D., Director : Dr. Bersoff has served as a Director of 3001 since 2004. Dr. Bersoff brings extensive merger and acquisition experience to 3001's Board of Directors, along with a deep understanding of both the federal and information technology marketplaces.
He is a co-founder and currently serves as Chairman, and CEO ATS Corporation (formerly FSAC), a publicly traded information technology company headquartered in Northern Virginia that serves both the Federal and commercial markets. Previously, he was Managing Director of Quarterdeck Investment Partners, LLC, a Los Angeles based investment bank.
In 1982, Dr. Bersoff founded BTG (NSDQ: BTGI), an information technology firm. While he was serving as Chairman and President of BTG, BTG was ranked in the Inc. 500 list of fast-growing private companies for three years and the Washington Technology "Fast 50" for four years. In November 2001 BTG was acquired by the Titan Corporation, a NYSE-listed company, which elected him to its Board in February 2002. Titan was sold to L-3 Communications in 2005.
From 1975 until 1982, he served as Vice President, Executive Vice President, and as President of CTEC Inc. ("CTEC"), a provider of systems integration services. Previously, he was employed by Logicon, Inc., a provider of advanced technology systems and services to national security, civil, and industrial customers. Earlier, while on active duty, he was assigned by the United States Army to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Dr. Bersoff holds A.B., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from New York University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management Program. In addition to 3001, He serves on the Board of Directors of EFJ, Inc.(NASDAQ: EFJI), ICF International (NASDAQ: ICFI),and the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University. |
