Edward C. Hurley became a director of our company following our reverse public offering transaction. Mr. Hurley currently serves as Of Counsel to the law firm of Chico & Nunes, P.C. since January, 2007. Prior to joining this firm, in 2006 and 2007, Mr. Hurley was a director in the Governor’s office of the state of Illinois, and prior to that from 2003 to 2006, he served as Chairman of the Illinois Commerce Commission (the ICC), the agency that regulates public utilities in Illinois. During more than 13 years of service at the ICC, Mr. Hurley served as the agency’s chairman (from 1999 - 2003), and previously as a commissioner and an administrative law judge. As the ICC’s chairman, Mr. Hurley oversaw the work of nearly 300 employees and a budget of $128 million. During his tenure at the ICC, Mr. Hurley was a decision-maker involved in resolving the most complex issues impacting Illinois businesses governed by the ICC, including the deregulation of electric energy markets, process for procurement of electricity by electric utilities, and mergers and acquisitions of telecommunications, electric and natural gas utilities. |
