Mr. Brandon retired as Chairman of National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC) in September 1995, where he had been Chairman since September 1987. Previously, Mr. Brandon served as President of the holding corporation and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. He retained his position as Chief Executive Officer of National City Bank, Cleveland through April 1989. He is a member of the Board of Directors of National City Corporation and RPM (NYSE: RPM). He is a Life Member of the Board of Trustees of Notre Dame College of Ohio and a board member of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and John Carroll University. Mr. Brandon is a lifetime member of The Financial Services Roundtable.He has served on numerous community and non-profit boards during his career, including United Way Services, Cleveland Tomorrow, the Greater Cleveland Growth Association, Playhouse Square Foundation, National Conference of Community and Justice, the Musical Arts Association and Saint Vincent Charity Hospital and Health Center. Mr. Brandon received a BS degree in Economics from Northwestern University, and an MBA from Wharton School of Banking and Finance. |
