Eduardo Castro-Wright oversees the Wal-Mart Stores Division in the United States. He was promoted to this position in September 2005, following his role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Wal-Mart Stores Division.
Eduardo brings a wealth of international experience to Wal-Mart. He joined Wal-Mart in 2001 as President and Chief Operating Officer for Wal-Mart de Mexico. In January 2003, he was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer for Wal-Mart de Mexico.
Prior to his employment at Wal-Mart, Eduardo worked for Honeywell International Inc. At Honeywell, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell Transportation and Power Systems from 2000 to 2001 and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell Asia/Pacific from 1998 to 2000. He was a corporate officer of Honeywell International Inc., and served on its Leadership Council.
Previous to that, Eduardo was the President of Nabisco Asia Pacific from 1995 to 1998. Throughout that period, he was also a member of Nabisco's Executive Committee, representing Nabisco International. He also worked as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nabisco Mexico from 1994 to 1995 and of Nabisco Venezuela from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, he held several general management positions for the same company in Latin America.
Eduardo is a member of the Board of Directors of Dow Jones & Co.
Eduardo was born in Ecuador and has a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. |
