Dr. Ben-Josef has more than 20 years of medical practice. Dr. Ben-Josef is Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan Medical School, a consultant to the National Cancer Institute, a Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Task Force on Metastatic Prostate Cancer, and a Member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network panels on Pancreatic Cancer and Hepatobilliary Cancer. Dr. Ben-Josef is on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Oncology, is a frequent presenter and the author of numerous articles in the oncology field. Dr. Ben-Josef is a member of Pro-Pharmaceuticals’ Board of Directors, Scientific Advisory Board and Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Ben-Josef has served as a consultant to Amgen Inc. relating to the development of a new agent for the treatment of prostate cancer. He is the recipient of research grants from U.S. Bioscience Inc., SafeScience Inc., Amgen Inc., and Roche Laboratories Inc, and received the award for Best Resident Paper from Wayne State University, 1992 Radiation Oncology Research Day. Dr. Ben-Josef is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (since 1991), The Michigan Society of Therapeutic Radiologists (since 1995), Genitourinary Committee of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (since 1995), Genitourinary Committee of the South West Oncology Group (since 1996), European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (since 1995) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (since 1995). He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology and holds medical licenses from Israel, Michigan, FMGEMS and FLEX. Dr. Ben-Josef was a Research Associate at Wayne State School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Cancer Biology from 1993 - 1995 and is a 1986 graduate of The Hebrew University - Hadassah School of Medicine in Jerusalem, Israel.
