Ed Zabar is a Managing Director of NC Ventures, a division of National Capital focused on funding early and expansion stage technology, energy, and special situation opportunities.
Prior to joining National Capital in 2007, Ed spent two years as a Vice President with Spencer Trask Ventures, Inc where he managed a team of investment professionals dedicated to providing capital to technology and life sciences companies in multiple stages of development.
From 2003 to 2005, Ed served as a Vice President at Silver Rapids, a Hong Kong based Venture Capital fund where he reviewed and participated in investments in the areas of cross border trading, settlement and brokerage services. Following his tenure at Silver Rapid, Ed served as a full time consultant to Goldman Sachs, as part of a specialty team that reviewed the company’s trading operations.
From 2000 to 2003, Ed was Executive Vice President of sales, marketing and business development at View Trade Securities. Ed was personally responsible for increasing the company’s global client base, increasing revenue from $500K to over $13 Million a year.
From 1998 to 2000, Ed worked as a financial and technology consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Between the years 1989 and 1998 Ed worked for the Government in various roles including an intelligence officer and a technology and telecom procurement officer.
Ed holds an MBA from Columbia University, and a BS in Finance and Information Technology from New York University. Ed is a Registered Representative with FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and holds series 7, 63 and 62 licenses. |
