Mr. Williams is CEO of an early stage battery technology company called Firefly Energy, which spun out from promising research done at Caterpillar. He is a senior executive with a distinguished career in directing expansion stage and large, high growth technology companies to exceptional profitability and operational effectiveness. Over the past 20 years he has held senior executive positions in technology services, software development, and computer hardware companies, accumulating strong expertise in channel strategies, direct sales, marketing, operations, finance and equity capital management. During an eight year tenure at Apple Computer, Mr. Williams led channel strategy development and operational turn-arounds of various business units including the restructuring of an $830 million consumer operation, delivering 66% first year growth, and the division’s highest profitability. Mr. Williams most recently led early and expansion stage CRM and Content Management software companies, advancing these organizations to exceptional market traction, growth, funding, and subsequent acquisition. Mr. Williams was also a CEO in Residence with Arch Venture Partners in Chicago, where he served on the board of portfolio companies and provided strategic and operational consulting. Mr. Williams graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting & Economics and received his MBA in Finance and Marketing both from the University of Detroit. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and is a guest lecturer at the University of Colorado undergraduate and graduate business schools. |
