Ed Watt is secretary-treasurer of Transport Workers Union Local 100, a position he was elected to in 2000.
In this post, Mr. Watt oversees an annual budget of $20 million, serves as treasurer of the local’s political action committee, and has financial responsibility for the local’s assets, including its union hall. He serves as Local 100 President Roger Toussaint’s designee on the board of the New York City Employees Retirement System and on the boards of several other health and pension funds.
Before become secretary-treasurer, Mr. Watt worked for 20 years as a bus operator at the Ulmer Park and Flatbush depots of MTA New York City Transit.
He is a graduate of St. Francis College and holds a master of science in industrial and labor relations from Baruch-Cornell. |
