Ed is from a small town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, but, after 8 years in Louisiana, his tastes have changed to a spicier tune.
Ed graduated from Emerson College in Boston and landed his first on-air television job in Presque Isle, Maine. For those of you in the Air Force, it's right next door to the former home of Loring Air Force Base. You couldn't get much further north and remain in the United States. The snow would start falling in September and melt by the 4th of July, if you were lucky!
After freezing for five years, Ed moved south to Monroe, Louisiana. It was like going from the freezer to the frying pan. He worked at KNOE-TV for another five years before getting the call of the Big Easy. Ed headed to New Orleans for a very quick stint at WGNO-TV. Six months and one stolen car later, Ed packed his bags and headed back to Monroe for his second stint at KNOE-TV. Two years later he jumped at the opportunity to join the KTBS- 3 News Family. Now, Ed anchor KTBS-3 First News with Sonja Bailes. By the way, this isn't the first time Ed and Sonja have worked together. The two of them first worked together in Monroe. |
