Mr. Pickett has over 40 years experience in space related programs starting while in the U.S. Army working with anti-craft guided missile and radar tracking systems and conducting tactical operations associated with mission activities.
Mr. Pickett joined the U.S. space effort as a Systems Engineer during NASA's Mercury Program and continued to work in this capacity through the Gemini and Apollo Programs to the successful completion of Apollo 11, man's first landing on the moon. After the Apollo 11 mission from 1969 to 1984 he worked in the Washington D.C. area as a business development/marketing consultant. Business markets included the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and the Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF).
At the start of the International Space Station Program (ISSP) in 1984 Mr. Pickett went to work at NASA Headquarters as a consultant to the Office of Space Flight where he remained until 1990. Upon leaving NASA Headquarters Mr. Pickett became the President and an owner in Space Marketing Inc. a commercial/advertising business which included advertising in space, commercials in space, and airship advertising. In 2002 Mr. Pickett helped found Techsphere Systems International, LLC .
