Ed Katz has led the company from its inception in 1964 through its expansion to a global leadership position. In 1986, Ed established Choice Management Systems, a division that specialized in the staffing and management of corporate mailrooms, in-house messenger departments, motorized delivery departments, and receiving centers for major organizations. In 1989, he carved a niche in the highly competitive overnight delivery business with Twilight Express, which serviced the Northeast corridor. In 1990, Ed acquired Archer Courier Services, making Choice the nation’s largest privately owned on-ground courier service. Ed’s accomplishments include the founding of ACCA (Air Courier Conference of America) in 1974. Serving as the organization’s first president, Ed helped build this group to its current size of over 300 international courier services, including virtually every major airline. |
