Mr. Healy has been in management, marketing and engineering roles in the semiconductor industry most recently at Silicon Laboratories, where he started that company’s wireless business and was integral in their success. While at Silicon Labs, a global leader in mixed-signal circuit technology with 2004 revenues of $456 million, Mr. Healy served as vice president and general manager of the Wireless Division. He grew the wireless business from a start-up venture in 1998 to a business generating over half the company’s total revenue. Prior to his experience at Silicon Labs, Mr. Healy spent 6 years with the Magnetic Storage Division at Crystal Semiconductor/Cirrus Logic, most recently as General Manager. Before joining Cirrus Logic in 1992, Mr. Healy headed Zilog Inc.’s effort to bring to market the first dual processor solution for the mass storage market. His experience in the semiconductor field also includes serving as Marketing Engineer, Mixed Signal Business Unit, at GEC Plessey Semiconductors. Mr. Healy holds a BS in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point , an MS in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA from Santa Clara University and an MS in Management from Stanford University. Ed served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army from 1977 to 1988, where he held a number of leadership positions. He was also an associate professor in electrical engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point. |
