Eben concentrates his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including development, acquisitions, sales, leasing and tax-deferred exchanges. Eben also has experience with state and federal taxation with respect to corporate and partnership transactions. Eben joined the firm in 2000 following his clerkship with United States District Court Judge Gene Carter. Previously, Eben served for four years as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator William S. Cohen in Washington, D.C. He managed, formulated, and promoted policy initiatives, and advised the Senator on legislation, regulatory matters, and budgetary policy. Education A magna cum laude graduate of Bowdoin College (1992), Eben holds a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies. He earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law (1999) and was Managing Editor of the Maine Law Review.
