Earl Mellott represents a wide variety of clients in the creation and structuring of corporations and partnerships. He also advises a number of limited liability companies acting as investment vehicles and operating entities. His counsel to these and other clients ranges from advice on general business activities to guidance in acquisition and financing transactions.
Earl has assisted buyers and sellers in numerous mergers and acquisitions, involving both public and private companies and including cross-border acquisitions, development of overseas joint ventures, and organization of international operations. His transactional work also involves representing clients in connection with bank financing arrangements and offerings of debt and equity securities, including venture capital financings.
In addition to his work at Foley Hoag, Earl previously served as an Associate General Counsel at one of the country's largest health insurers, acting as corporate counsel to operating companies in several states.
