E.J. Burke is executive vice president of KeyCorp and has responsibility for KeyBank Real Estate Capital the fifth-largest commercial real estate lender in U.S. He oversees the development profitability and quality of the commercial real estate portfolio both on and off balance sheet products on a national basis.
Previously E.J. served as head of real estate capital markets for Key; where he was responsible for all off balance sheet capital markets activities including mezzanine equity commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) Agency and Life Company products. He also served as managing director of Key's Commercial Mortgage Division. Under E.J.'s leadership Key's CMBS program grew to become a top-5 bank conduit and one of the largest commercial mortgage loan servicers in the U.S.
Prior to joining KeyBank E.J. was president and a founding member of Kansas City-based National Realty Funding LC - a master primary and special servicer as well as an originator/seller of commercial mortgage loans for securitization - that was acquired by KeyCorp in 2000.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and an MBA from Oklahoma City University. E.J. serves on the Mortgage Banker's Association Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Board of Governors and is vice-chair of the Mortgage Banker's Association Portfolio Investors Committee. |
