Dusty Wince founded Knowledge Consulting Group in the spring of 2000, leveraging more than 23 years of IT consulting experience and a proven formula for success. Dusty has presided over the successful change from a small start-up company to an award winning premier information assurance and security consulting firm providing services to the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and the Intelligence community.
Prior to founding KCG, Dusty served as Vice President of Consulting for Federal Sources, Inc., the leading market research firm focused on the public IT market. Dusty grew Federal Sources' consulting business by concentrating on large, complex federal IT program capture services, as well as assisting emerging technology companies in expanding their federal presence. Before Federal Sources, Dusty served as Vice President of CIBER Enterprise Integration Practice (EIP), building a practice based on delivering Microsoft enterprise services to government clients with mission-critical programs. Prior to CIBER EIP, Dusty was co-founder and Vice President of Business Impact Systems (BIS), the 1998 Fastest Growing Technology Company in Virginia and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. As Vice President of Government Services for BIS, Dusty developed a highly profitable practice supplying enterprise integration services and constructing partnerships with Fortune 500 government IT companies. Dusty was the first employee of Business Impact Systems and played a significant role in building the company from two employees to over 150 in less than six years. Dusty also assisted in the acquisition of Business Impact Systems by CIBER for $61M+.
Dusty began his career with Electronic Data Systems and spent over 10 years with the Military Systems Division, where he worked as program manager for large IDIQ contracts supplying networking products and services to U.S. military customers.
