C. Duane Selby is the senior executive account manager (SEAM) for Special Programs, Government Communications Systems (GCS). In this capacity, he reports to the vice president of Strategic Management and Business Development. Mr. Selby is responsible for maintaining and growing business and relationships with National’s special programs customers. The business includes Harris technologies within the National Business Unit and business practices within Harris Information Technology Services. Mr. Selby joined Harris as an engineer in 1977. In 1991, he was named the director of Business Development and Advanced Programs for Space Systems, which produced a variety of antennas and electronics for various platforms. In 1997, Mr. Selby was named the vice president of Programs for Space Systems. From 1999 to the present, Mr. Selby has had a variety of special assignments to create, win, and structure new opportunities. Mr. Selby has a broad, deep technical background, and good business acumen in 35 years in the aerospace and defense industry, including 5 early career years at General Dynamics. Mr. Selby holds a B.S.E. degree from the University of Central Florida. GCS produces advanced communications and information systems for a variety of government agencies and their associated prime contractors.
