Mr. Nachowiak joined Centex Corporation as Associate General Counsel in 1997, became General Counsel of HomeTeam in 1998, Vice President and General Counsel in 2001, and Senior Vice President & General Counsel in 2003. In this role, Mr. Nachowiak oversees all of HomeTeam's legal matters and also serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Centex Development Company. During his career at Centex, Mr. Nachowiak has served as General Counsel of a number of other subsidiaries, including Cavco Industries. Prior to joining Centex, Mr. Nachowiak was an associate in the Dallas office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP, where his practice was focused on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, securities and general corporate law. Mr. Nachowiak earned his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University, where he was President of his college honor society. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel. |
