Douglas Turek is a Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Cardon with more than eleven years of legal experience. Born and raised in Texas, Mr. Turek has an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and a juris doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Mr. Turek has practiced law throughout Texas since his licensing in 1995. Mr. Turek has also practiced law in Utah since his licensing in 2002. Mr. Turek has counseled Cardon and its clients on healthcare compliance issues and policies, third party liability recoveries, and insurance appeals since 1996. Mr. Turek joined Cardon in June of 2001 as General Counsel. Through his own firm, The Turek Law Firm, Mr. Turek litigates a variety of healthcare issues from third party liabilities to collections and health insurance denials for Cardon and its clients. Mr. Turek is Cardon's Chief Corporate Compliance Officer. He is in charge of the training and monitoring programs that Cardon uses to ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDCPA, EMTALA, and all other federal and state regulations that regulate our industry and our business partner agreements with our clients |
