Douglas Thomas joins SMART as a Managing Director. He has more than 28 years of human resources experience, with particular expertise in compensation and benefits.
Prior to joining SMART, Doug served as a Director for KPMG’s Compensation and Benefits Practice. In that role, Doug provided professional services for all areas of human resources, including HR risk and remediation. He has worked with numerous merging companies to develop and implement a common system for work measurement, salary grade design, and compensation program design. Doug also has provided strategic planning advice in aligning all human resources functions with the new culture and business strategy of the merging organizations. In addition, Doug has designed and implemented performance management systems, and has provided expert witness testimony regarding the reasonableness of compensation program design and administration. |
