Doug Astry came to SurModics in June 2003 as Manager, Array Business and was promoted to General Manager of the In Vitro Technologies business unit (previously called Diagnostics and Drug Discovery) in April 2004. Prior to joining SurModics, Doug was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at HTS Biosystems, and from 1980 through 2001, Astry held various research and business management positions at 3M, most recently Business Development Manager of 3M's Bioanalytical Technologies Group. Doug received his B.A. degree in Biology from Williams College, an M.S. in Physiology from the University of Connecticut, and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Astry is a past president of MNBIO (now LifeScience Alley) and is on the advisory committee of the University of Minnesota Biomedical Genomics Center. |
