Douglas Harris is a partner in the Global Project Finance Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York and is also a member of the Firm's High Yield and Acquisition Finance practice group. He has been a part of the Firm's Global Project Finance Group since its formation in 1989 and has focused primarily on complex financings and equity investments related to power generation and transmission facilities and other industrial and infrastructural facilities including domestic and international project financings in the private and public capital markets, domestic and cross-border leveraged lease financings, structured financings, acquisition financings and utility restructurings. He has been recognized as a leading practitioner in the project finance arena by a number of professional directories, including The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers Global and Who's Who in Legal.
Prior to the formation of the Firm's Global Project Finance Group, Mr. Harris was a part of the Firm's Banking Department, where his practice also included acquisition financing, trade financing, domestic and cross-border restructurings, municipal finance and traditional domestic and international bank financing transactions.
Mr. Harris graduated from Williams College magna cum laude in 1976, and from Cornell Law School cum laude in 1979. He was a managing editor of the Cornell Law Review. |
