Douglas Anderson 49 has been with MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company for more than 10 years starting as corporate counsel to CalEnergy and holding various legal counsel positions of increasing responsibility. In May 2001 Anderson assumed his current role as senior vice president general counsel and corporate secretary. He oversees all legal matters for the company. Anderson supports the company’s acquisitions development and financing activities and is responsible for all contract litigation and regulatory matters.
Anderson graduated from Augustana College Sioux Falls S.D. in 1981 with a BA in economics and business administration. In 1985 Anderson received an MBA from the Indiana University School of Business and a juris doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law. He has practiced with Foster Swift Collins and Smith of Lansing Mich.; Anderson & Anderson of Sioux Falls S.D.; and Fraser Stryker Meusey Olson Boyer and Bloch of Omaha Neb.
Anderson is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association South Dakota State Bar Association and Michigan State Bar Association. His interests include hunting basketball and family. He and his wife Bonnie have a son Kyle and a daughter Katie. |
