Doug Jones is Senior Managing Director, Institutional Mortgage Services Group, for Countrywide Financial Corporation, (NYSE:CFC), a diversified financial services provider and member of the S&P 500, and its main subsidiary, Countrywide Home Loans, Inc., a national leader in residential finance. He also serves as President of Countrywide's Institutional Mortgage Services Group.
Jones has headed the Institutional Mortgage Services Group since its inception in July 2002. This senior management group places three Countrywide units, the Correspondent Lending Division, closing services provider LandSafe, Inc., and Countrywide Warehouse Lending, Inc., under one management umbrella to provide coordinated services and product packages to Countrywide's institutional partners.
Jones is responsible for all activities of the Correspondent Lending Division, including operations, loan production and risk. He leads efforts to position Countrywide as the mortgage conduit of choice for banks, credit unions, thrifts and other financial institutions that originate mortgage loans.
Jones joined Countrywide in 1997 as Executive Vice President of the Correspondent Lending Division. Previously, he served as chief executive officer at Cub Funding Corporation for 10 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from California State University, Sacramento. |
