As Vice President, Human Resources for Silicon Image, Haslam is responsible for worldwide human resources (HR) and facilities. Haslam brings nearly 30 years experience working in fast paced, high-growth environments where he touched virtually every aspect of HR in industries as varied as environmental, wind energy, handheld devices, wireless services and hardware/software development. Most recently, Mr. Haslam provided HR and development consulting to startups and small organizations. Prior to that he was vice president worldwide HR and administration at Borland Software where he led HR, facilities, and travel & corporate events for the company’s 1,400 employees. Before Borland, he built the HR department that supported Palm Inc.’s growth from 55 employees and their first customer shipment to more than 1,200 employees and $1.4B in global revenue, leading up to their successful IPO. He also served in HR capacities at OmniSky Corporation and Xerox. Mr. Haslam received a Masters Degree in Public Administration in Organizational Behavior from UCLA where he also received the President’s Fellowship Award. He frequently serves as a guest lecturer and presenter at local universities and professional groups on management and HR. |
