Prior to the merger of Fulcrum Pharmaceuticals and Ception Therapeutics, Mr. Gessl was the V.P. of Finance and Administration at Fulcrum Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Fulcrum, Mr. Gessl was a Senior V.P. with Einhorn Associates, a boutique investment bank and acted as financial advisor and lead negotiator to Fulcrum in its initial Series A financing in May 2004 and at Fulcrum in its subsequent Series A financing in December 2004. Prior to Einhorn Associates, Doug was a Principal in the Mergers & Acquisitions Groups for Tucker Anthony Sutro Capital Markets. In addition to closing numerous M&A transactions, Doug also worked in the private placement and public equity groups assisting clients with their capital needs. Previously, Doug spent five years with Nesbitt Burns in Chicago where he worked in the private placements, M&A and structured loans groups. Before Nesbitt Burns, Doug spent seven years with JP Morgan Chase (f.k.a. First National Bank of Chicago) in various roles, including international strategic planning, middle market lending and an internal consulting group. He was also chosen to participate in the company's management training program (First Scholar), rotating through various areas within the bank while completing his MBA. Doug received his MBA from the University of Chicago and holds a bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Wisconsin. |
